Meeting to be held Oct 8, 2007
Folks, by now you have probably heard that the County Mayor and Commission are supporting a cover-up about what is going on at the Benton County Electric System. At a time like this all the axes will come out because people like to grind them. I want you to know this issue is not about party politics, rather it is about telling the truth, obeying the law and accountability in government. Each of us have a hard enough time paying our Electric bill and we have a right to know how the money is spent. Also, when the officials at our Electric System act in an irresponsible manner and add cost to our bill someone needs to be held accountable.
Let me give you a little background information. Over two months ago I received several documents from an unknown person indicating illegal activity. I went to the County Commission on August 20th and they voted to hold a public hearing. Of course they had no idea what they had voted on so at the September 17th meeting they voted not to hear any evidence or set in judgment on the Electric system.
Neighbor, it is time for all of us to stand together and be counted so I invite you to come and bring a friend to a public meeting on Monday, October 8, 2007 at the Bank of Camden Community Building at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to speak on this issue and ask questions. I am looking forward to sharing with you about how one employee’s pay went up over $20,000 in one year. Many laws have been broken. Come and hear what you can do to help.
Thank You
Henry Berry
